There are many types and species of termite, which are available in the World, but there are only three species of termite which may affect or damage the human life. The subterranean termite is one such specie which is common found in the environment, surrounding the human inhibited areas.

The subterranean termite lives in the earth where they build the large colonies or inhibitions underground. From such inhibitions or nests, they are successful to enter the human dwellings or homes from the place where any type of the wood, wooden fixture, structure or furniture comes in touch with the ground. So, it becomes important to stop or hinder the wood contact with the ground or to provide such contact in controlled environment to control the entrance of termite to the human dwellings or into the wood-made products.

To control the movement or entrance of termite into the human environment, different mechanisms are adopted, such as, to hinder or obstruct it with any such material or metal which cannot be forged or entered into by the termite. Second most popular and comparatively easier method of control is by killing the termite with the help of the some pesticide or termite killing chemical which is sprayed periodically to kill and control the spread of the termite in the human dwellings or areas of inhibitions.
